The statement said:

It is a universally recognized right of each country to study and develop space for peaceful purposes.

Many countries have so far launched satellites not only for peaceful purposes but for military purposes.

The principle of equality is stipulated even in the U.N. Charter. But this principle and international law have been abused as tools for imposing the imperialists' interests for decades.

The "resolution" adopted by the UNSC as regards the launch of the DPRK's satellite Kwangmyongsong 3-2 is not aimed at complying with the international treaties on the development of space.

It reflects the interests of the U.S. which has hindered the DPRK's socialist construction while keeping its forces in south Korea.

The statement condemned some countries for conspiring for the adoption of the "resolution on sanctions" against the DPRK, to meet the U.S. demand in the UNSC.

It said that the working class and peoples of the world would stand by the Korean people in the struggle for advancing the cause of socialism against imperialism.
