Day of Shining Star Celebrated in Kyrgyzstan, India
Pyongyang, February 10 (KCNA) -- Events were held on February 4 on the occasion of the birth anniversary of leader Kim Jong Il (the Day of the Shining Star).

They included a seminar in Kyrgyzstan and a seminar, book and photo exhibition and film show in India.

Seen in the venue of the exhibition were photos on his exploits.

On display there were his works and other Korean books and photos showing the true picture of Songun Korea.

A. Usupbayev, chairman of the Central Council of the People Unity-"Kyrgyz El" Republican Political Party who doubles as chief of the Group for the Study of the Juche Idea of Kyrgyzstan, said that Kim Jong Il was an outstanding statesman and iron-willed brilliant commander who increased the national power of socialist Korea with his unique Songun politics.

The dear respected Kim Jong Un energetically works to turn socialist Korea into a powerful state looked up by the world, true to the high intention of Kim Jong Il, he noted, adding:

As long as there exists the wise leadership of Kim Jong Un and the Workers' Party of Korea and advantageous socialist system which Kim Jong Il developed, the Korean people will build a thriving nation without fail.

B. C. Gupta, chairman of the Juche Idea Study Society of Indian Delhi, said that Kim Jong Il was an outstanding thinker and theoretician, great statesman, iron-willed brilliant commander and benevolent father of the people.

He went on:

The DPRK successfully launched the satellite under the leadership of Marshal Kim Jong Un by creditably carrying forward the Songun cause of Kim Jong Il. It is working hard to build a thriving socialist nation while resolutely frustrating the UN Security Council's "resolution on sanctions" cooked up by the U.S. and its allies.

The immortal exploits Kim Jong Il performed for the cause of global independence will be kept forever in the hearts of the Korean people and progressive mankind.
