Bitter Cold to Hit DPRK Again
Pyongyang, February 5 (KCNA) -- The Democratic People's Republic of Korea has experienced frequent changes of weather conditions this winter.

Biting cold swept throughout the country from early December last year to mid-January this year. After some days, the freezing temperature went on until early February.

Cold weather is expected to hit the country again even after the beginning of spring (February 4).

According to data released by the Hydro-meteorological Service, dry and cold air will flow into the Korean Peninsula on February 6-11 from eastern Siberia, affected by the cold continental high pressure that is growing stronger.

On Feb. 7-9, the lowest temperature will stand at minus 18 to minus 15 degrees Celsius in the west coastal area, minus 27 to minus 21 degrees C. in the northern inland area and minus 14 to minus 10 degrees C. in the east coastal area, 5 to 10 degrees C. lower than the average year.

The weather will be affected by the cold wind at speed of 7 to 10 meters per second.

The temperature is expected to go up from Feb. 11.
