UN, U.S. Urged to Respect DPRK's Independent Right
Pyongyang, February 3 (KCNA) -- The Nigeria-Korea Friendship Association and the Socialist Journalist Forum of Nepal in their statements on Jan. 28 said that the DPRK's satellite launch is the legitimate right of a sovereign state, urging the United Nations and the U.S. to respect the DPRK's independent right.

The Nigeria-Korea Friendship Association noted that satellite launch for peaceful purposes cannot be problematic under any circumstances and, on the contrary, it deserves praise from the international community for its positive contribution to the development of science and technology and wellbeing of mankind.

The UNSC's "resolution on sanctions" is an undisguised violation of the universally accepted international law and an act of wrecking the peace and security in the Korean Peninsula and the rest of Asia, it said.

It fully supported the stand of the DPRK rejecting the UNSC's "resolution".

The Socialist Journalist Forum of Nepal said the U.S. and other imperialist forces talk about freedom, human rights, democracy and international law but all their acts are contrary to this.

It vehemently rejected the UNSC's "resolution" against the DPRK's satellite launch for peaceful purposes and extended full support and solidarity to the Korean people in their struggle to defend the sovereignty of the country and build an economic giant.
