Joint Performance Given
Pyongyang, February 2 (KCNA) -- The joint performance "The Voice of the Mother" was given for the participants in the Fourth Conference of Cell Secretaries of the Workers' Party of Korea (WPK) by the Moranbong Band and the State Merited Chorus of the Korean People's Army in Pyongyang on Friday.

The performance began with "National Anthem". Put on the stage were chorus "International", mixed chorus and chorus "Recollection of the 20th Century", instrumental music and pangchang "Are We Living Like in Those Days", female chorus and chorus "Forever with the Leader and the Party" and other colorful numbers.

The performers sang high praises of the immortal exploits President Kim Il Sung and leader Kim Jong Il performed by strengthening and developing the WPK into a revolutionary party of Juche, powerful general staff of the Songun revolution and genuine motherly party.

Also put on the stage were songs "Fly Higher Our Party Flag" and "The People Are Single-minded" which the dear respected Marshal Kim Jong Un made resound forth on the road of advance in the new century of Juche.

The performance was perfect in contents and style as it was music representation of fresh level thanks to unique and dynamic delineation of profound and rich emotion and melody through a good combination of Korean-style light music, orchestral music and chorus, fascinating and three dimensional stage decor and peculiar lighting, etc. It instilled into the audience pride and honor of ushering in the era of high level of civilization and efflorescence of thriving Korea.

Among the audience were Kim Ki Nam, Choe Thae Bok, Pak To Chun and Kim Yong Chun, members of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the WPK, O Kuk Ryol, Kim Yang Gon, Kim Yong Il, Kim Phyong Hae, Kwak Pom Gi, Mun Kyong Dok, Ro Tu Chol, Ri Pyong Sam, Jo Yon Jun and Thae Jong Su, alternate members of the Political Bureau of the C.C., the WPK, party leading officials here and provinces and the participants of the conference.
