UNSC's "Resolution on Sanctions" against DPRK under Fire
Pyongyang, February 1 (KCNA) -- Chairmen of Headquarters of the General Association of Korean Residents in Japan (Chongryon) issued statements on Jan. 29 denouncing the "resolution on sanctions" adoted at the United Nations Security Council against the DPRK.

Ro Mu Hyon, chairman of the Hyogo Prefectural Headquarters of Chongryon, said:

The DPRK successfully launched satellite Kwangmyongsong 3-2 by its own efforts and with indigenous technology in accordance with the universally recognized international law on using outer space for peaceful purposes. The whole world supported this and even the U.S. and other hostile forces recognized it.

The UNSC's "resolution on sanctions" which took issue only with the DPRK's satellite launch clearly indicated that the U.S. hostile policy toward the DPRK has reached an extreme phase.

Japan, which serves the U.S. as its master, is working hard to trample down the national rights of Chongryon and Koreans in Japan while insisting that it will independently apply "sanctions" against the DPRK, he said, vowing to firmly defend Chongryon organizations and community of Koreans despite any intrigues and moves.

Ri Ju Hak, chairman of the Fukuoka Prefectural Headquarters of Chongryon, said that the U.S. and its allies are undisguisedly threatening the global peace and security.

He expressed the will to dynamically advance with the firm faith to reliably defend the security and sovereignty of the country and safeguard the socialist homeland with the same spirit and mettle as were displayed by the compatriots in the homeland in successfully launching satellite Kwangmyongsong 3-2.
