Day of Shining Star to Be Observed in Uganda

| Pyongyang, February 1 (KCNA) -- An Ugandan national preparatory committee for celebrating the birth anniversary of leader Kim Jong Il (the Day of Shining Star) was inaugurated with due ceremony in Kampala on January 24. The adviser to the Ugandan president was elected chairman of the preparatory committee. The committee decided to organize diverse political and cultural events praising the revolutionary career and exploits of Kim Jong Il on the occasion of the Day of the Shining Star. |
