Preparations for 17th Kimjongilia Festival in DPRK
Pyongyang, January 28 (KCNA) -- Preparations for the 17th Kimjongilia Festival are gaining momentum in the Democratic People's Republic of Korea.

In this regard, KCNA met Ri Pyong Pha, a department director of the Korea Kimilsungia-Kimjongilia Committee.

He said:

This year's festival, to be held under the theme of "Kimjongilia coming into full bloom with strong yearning for leader Kim Jong Il", will be attended by military institutions, commissions, ministries and national institutions and individuals.

It will be also participated in by the Central Standing Committee of the General Association of Korean Residents in Japan (Chongryon), other overseas Koreans' bodies and overseas compatriots, diplomatic missions in the DPRK, foreign organizations and individuals.

Exhibition pavilions are to be set up at the festival venue in representation of the undying feats Kim Jong Il performed for the country and the people and for independence of mankind as well as the mettle of the DPRK that is speeding up the building of an economic giant after a successful satellite launch.

The participants are decorating their pavilions in a peculiar way in line with the overall design of the exhibition hall.

This winter is very cold with low sunshine rate. But, the flowers are coming into full bloom at Kimilsungia-Kimjongilia greenhouses across the country thanks to sincerity of the festival participants.

Meanwhile, the festival posters have already come out.
