The president said the New Year Address made by the dear respected Kim Jong Un calling for bringing about a radical turn in building an economic power and improving the people's living standard has evoked big repercussions in the world.

He extended full support to the stand of the DPRK government to defuse the confrontation between the north and the south and implement the inter-Korean joint declarations.

He wished the DPRK success in its work for socio-economic progress for the welfare of the people.

He hoped that the friendly relations between the two countries will steadily develop on good terms.
