Production Goes Up in Light Industrial Sector of DPRK
Pyongyang, January 25 (KCNA) -- Light industrial factories in the Democratic People's Republic of Korea have been in full operation from the outset of the year.

In January the Pyongyang Cornstarch Factory and the Pyongyang Flour-Processing Factory have raised production twice as compared with the previous year, the Taedonggang Foodstuff Factory and the Kyongryon Aeguk Soda Pop Mill 1.6 times and the Pyongyang Foodstuff Packing Materials Factory 1.5 times.

The Susongchon General Foodstuff Factory has fulfilled its daily production quota at 150 percent. The factory also made a big progress in upgrading the quality of soft drinks through a mass technological innovation movement.

The Sinuiju Knitted Goods Factory has kept its production on a normal basis. It applied an advanced dying method and invented a new kind of seaming machine, thus topping the daily target by 20 percent.

Besides, production is soaring up at the Songyo Knitted Goods Factory and other knitting and textile mills across the country.
