The statement vehemently denounced the U.S. recent moves to revive the "UN Command" according to its new defense strategy as dangerous moves to bring the dark clouds of war to the Korean Peninsula and the rest of the Asia-Pacific region.

It went on:

The U.S. is working hard to revive the "UN Command" in disregard of all the sincere efforts of the DPRK for replacing the Armistice Agreement with a peace treaty. Lurking behind this scenario is a sinister intention to transform the "UN Command" into a "multinational forces command" and use it for invading those countries disobedient to the U.S. in contingency.

Whether the U.S. dissolves the "UN Command" or not is a touchstone showing whether it stands for world peace or increased constant tension.

We supporters to the Korean people's desire for national reunification express full support and solidarity to their struggle for the independent and peaceful reunification of the country.

The U.S. should immediately stop all the moves to perpetuate Korea's division and meet the just demand of the DPRK without delay.
