Kim Jong Il's Birthday to Be Commemorated in DR Congo

| Pyongyang, January 25 (KCNA) -- A Democratic Congo preparatory committee for commemorating the birth anniversary of leader Kim Jong Il was inaugurated in Kinshasa on Jan. 19. Boswa Isekombe Sylvere, general secretary of the Communist Party of Democratic Congo, was elected chairman of the preparatory committee. The committee set the period from Jan. 21 to Feb. 16 as a commemoration period and decided to organize diverse political and cultural events in the period. |
