Mining Industry to Develop Further in DPRK This Year
Pyongyang, January 24 (KCNA) -- The DPRK is striving to boost mineral output this year.

Giving priority to exploration of promising mineral deposits, the Ministry of Mining Industry has planned to concentrate efforts on mines with rich deposits and build more cutting faces.

Meanwhile, major mines in the country are pressing ahead with a work to increase carriage capabilities at their cutting faces and provide more machines, accessories and tools needed for production.

According to an official concerned, the Ministry set it as goals to further improve the process of producing heat with nonuse of coke at the Munphyong Smeltery and update production processes at various mines and smelteries.
