KCTU Demands End to S. Korean Authorities' Unpopular Rule
Pyongyang, January 21 (KCNA) -- The south Korean Confederation of Trade Unions (KCTU) held a rally in Seoul on Jan. 18 calling for an end to the unpopular rule of the "government" authorities.

The speakers at the rally said that an increasing number of workers are protesting against the present regime and capital to live a worthy life as human beings.

The authorities, however, are paying no heed to the strong demands of the workers, they charged, adding:

Lee Myung Bak has trampled down the vital rights of the workers and suppressed the labor movement throughout his office.

The speakers underscored the need to arouse the oppressed people across south Korea to the struggle.

The KCTU will surely emerge victorious in their actions to build society where the workers will become masters, they declared.

A resolution was read out at the rally.
