Lee Myung Bak Regime Accused of Bedeviling Inter-Korean Relations
Pyongyang, January 11 (KCNA) -- Son Hyong Gun, chairman of the Federation of South Koreans in Japan for Democracy and Unification, released an article on Jan. 1.

The article accused the Lee Myung Bak regime of south Korea of having pursued a hostile policy toward the DPRK over the past five years, bedeviling the south-north relations.

It condemned the Lee regime for totally denying the June 15 joint declaration and the October 4 declaration and standing in the way of implementing them, in particular.

An opposition to the south-north joint declarations would only result in sparking confrontation, it said.

It urged the south Korean authorities to express their will to implement the declarations at an early date, set free reunification champions from prisons and abolish the "Security Law" aimed at cracking down on the pro-reunification organizations.

It said that the federation would wage a dynamic reunification movement centering around All-Korean Committee for Implementation of June 15 Joint Declaration and lift voices for having a peace treaty concluded on the Korean Peninsula this year which marks the 60th anniversary of the signing of the Armistice Agreement.

It called for further intensifying the solidarity actions for opposing Japan's moves for national discrimination policy and the revival of militarism, normalizing the DPRK-Japan relations and settling the issue related to sexual slavery for the imperial Japanese Army.
