Tasik, Traditional Korean Cookie
Pyongyang, January 4 (KCNA) -- Tasik (patterned savory cake) has been considered one of traditional Korean cookies.

The cake is made by roasting on a patterned mold the mixtures of pounded jujube, chestnut and sesame and honey or okdang sugar.

Ri Ik, a realist scholar in the 18th century, said in his book that tasik was one of dishes prepared for memorial services.

Letters and patterns inscribed in tasik represent people's wish for good health.

The sweet cookie is usually taken with tea. It is made in families and served mainly in holidays.
