Pyongyang in Festive Mood on New Year's Day
Pyongyang, January 1 (KCNA) -- The second year in the new century of Juche era has come to Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il's Korea.

The streets of Pyongyang are wrapped in a festive mood on the New Year's day, following the successful launch of satellite Kwangmyongsong 3-2 last year.

Upon receiving a New Year address made by respected Marshal Kim Jong Un on January 1, 2013, service personnel and people of the DPRK are greatly excited and full of great joy.

The streets are bedecked with national flags, red flags, posters and slogans reflecting the strong will of the service personnel and people to remain loyal to Kim Jong Un.

The service and catering network is busy serving citizens with roast chestnut, baked sweet potato, peanut, etc.

The People's Open-air Ice Rink, the Skate Park, the Fitness Center in Thongil Street, etc. are crowded with citizens and schoolchildren who are spending a pleasant time.

Laughers and singings can be heard from every dwelling house of the city.
