Display of Fireworks in Pyongyang Represents Hopeful Future
Pyongyang, January 1 (KCNA) -- Fireworks were displayed in different parts of Pyongyang from 00:00 Jan. 1, Juche 102 (2013). The display seemed to give the people confidence and hope for rosier future.

Kim Il Sung Square and other parts of the city were crowded with citizens enjoying the display of fireworks

Chae Hyok Gi, president of Pyongyang University of Computer Science, told KCNA:

"The firework display represents the Korean people's jubilee at the successful launch of satellite Kwangmyongsong 3-2.

It also reflects respected Marshal Kim Jong Un's steadfast will to unfailingly carry into practice the behests of leader Kim Jong Il for bettering the people's livelihood."

Choe Ryong, residing in Jungsin-dong, Sosong District, said:

"The display makes us proudly review the country's eye-catching events last year. It also hardens our will to work harder for brighter future."

An Song Rim, Choe's wife, said:

"With the display of fireworks, stirring events to take place this year are coming in my sight.

I'll bring up my children to be reliable pillars for the future of Songun Korea."
