Actions for Vital Rights Called for in S. Korea
Pyongyang, December 31 (KCNA) -- Leading members of trade unions of the Ssangyong Motors, Hyundai Motors in Ulsan and the Yusong Enterprise in south Korea now on a sit-in strike for the right to existence called on the workers to turn out in actions on Dec. 24 and 26.

They said that they have been on protest sit-in strike for months, unable to remain a passive onlooker to the situation where workers' right to existence is being ruthlessly violated due to the policy for big businesses.

They accused the enterprise owners of firing and suppressing the workers in actions for vital rights, refusing to admit their wrongdoings.

The miserable fate of the workers can never improve unless the anti-worker policy of the Lee Myung Bak regime is rolled back, they stated, and continued:

The workers will find no room to stay if the disorganization of trade unions goes on and part-time jobs and lay-off system are preserved. All workers should get united close and stage intensive actions.

Only when they are united as one, can they achieve the right to existence.
