Anniversary of Demise of Kim Jong Il Commemorated Abroad
Pyongyang, December 29 (KCNA) -- Various events took place in foreign countries to commemorate the first anniversary of demise of leader Kim Jong Il.

Remembrance meetings, seminars, book, photo and handcrafts exhibitions and film shows were held in Vietnam, Kuwait, Indonesia, Nepal, Serbia, Dominica, Tunisia and Equatorial Guinea from Dec. 14 to 21.

The head of an office of the Defense Ministry of Vietnam said at the film show:

As it held Kim Jong Il in high esteem as its supreme commander the Korean People's Army developed into matchless revolutionary armed forces.

I was deeply moved by the fact that Supreme Commander Kim Jong Un visited a women's coastal artillery company in August to learn in detail about its soldiers' training and their living and had photos taken with all of its soldiers.

The chairman of the Kuwaiti Committee for Remembering Generalissimo Kim Jong Il said at the remembrance meeting:

Kim Jong Il performed undying exploits while triumphantly leading the Korean revolution for half a century. The DPRK is now increasing its might under the wise leadership of Marshal Kim Jong Un.

The desire of Kim Jong Il will surely come true as long as the DPRK is under the leadership of Kim Jong Un.

The general chairman and the general secretary of the National Guidance Council of the Pioneer Party of Indonesia said at the book and photo exhibition that Kim Jong Il was the peerlessly great man who made great contributions to the happiness of the Korean people, the prosperity of the country and global independence.

The Nepali vice prime minister and concurrently foreign minister said at an opening ceremony of the book and photo exhibition that the feats of President Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il for the development of the friendly and cooperative relations between the two countries will always be remembered by the Nepali people.

Messages to Kim Jong Un were adopted at the events held in Serbia and Tunisia.
