Performance Given for Contributors to Satellite Launch
Pyongyang, December 26 (KCNA) -- A performance was given by the State Merited Chorus with splendor at the Mansudae Art Theatre on Wednesday in congratulation of the scientists, technicians, workers and officials who contributed to the successful launch of satellite Kwangmyongsong 3-2.

Artistes of the State Merited Chorus presented the space conquerors with bouquets.

Among the audience were Kim Ki Nam, Pak To Chun, Kim Yang Gon and other officials concerned.

The performance began with congratulatory music "Satellite of DPRK Goes Round the Earth". Put on the stage were male choruses "The General Is Immortal as the Sun", male quartet "Song of Love for the People", male chorus "Push Back Frontiers of Latest Science and Technology" and other colorful numbers.

The performers sang high praises of the undying feats of General Secretary Kim Jong Il who unfolded the bright blueprint for building a space power and worked heart and soul to bring about a great jubilee in the nation's history, true to the noble intention of President Kim Il Sung.

Male duet and male chorus "Korea Does What It Is Determined to Do" helped the audience deeply cherish the pride as victors who demonstrated before the world the overall national power of Songun Korea by pushing back the frontiers of latest space science.

Male solo and male chorus "Gold Bell Sound on Rungna Islet", "Changsong Today" and other numbers made the audience realize that the bright tomorrow of the final victory of socialism is drawing nearer as there is the dear respected Kim Jong Un who is ushering in the new era of prosperous Korea where people's dreams come true.

The performance was highly acclaimed for its high ideological and artistic value as it was replete with high revolutionary enthusiasm and militant spirit of the strong revolutionary army of Mt. Paektu and touched the heartstrings of the audience like valley firing of multiple launch rocket system.
