DPRK's Important Anniversaries Marked Abroad
Pyongyang, December 24 (KCNA) -- Various events took place in different countries to mark the first anniversary of demise of General Secretary Kim Jong Il, the 21st anniversary of his assumption of supreme commandership of the Korean People's Army (KPA) and the first anniversary of the dear respected Kim Jong Un's assumption of supreme commandership of the KPA.

A seminar, photo exhibition and film show were held in Nepal, seminar and photo exhibition in Cambodia and special lecture and film show in Ecuador between Dec. 13 and 15.

On display at the venues of the events were photos showing feats of President Kim Il Sung, Kim Jong Il and Kim Jong Un.

Films shown included Korean film "Kim Jong Il's Birthplace in the Paektusan Secret Camp".

Narayan Man Bijukchhe, chairman of the Central Committee of the Nepal Worker-Peasant Party, said that Kim Jong Il turned the DPRK into a powerful country with strong Juche character and independent spirit which the imperialists cannot dare provoke.

Ok Ri, president of the Taekwon-Do Association of Cambodia, said that Kim Jong Il was the great father who was boundlessly revered by the Korean people. They could strengthen the national power in every way as they had held him in high esteem as supreme commander of their armed forces, the president added.

Trotsky Serano, president of the Canar Provincial Institute for the Friendship and Solidarity with DPRK of Ecuador, said the idea and cause of Kim Jong Il is being successfully carried forward by Kim Jong Un today.

The Korean people have achieved brilliant successes in the drive for defending socialism and building a thriving nation and it is clearly proved by the successful launch of satellite Kwangmyongsong 3-2, he added.

A message to Kim Jong Un was adopted at the event in Nepal.
