Pyongyang, December 24 (KCNA) -- Dancing parties of youth and students took place in Pyongyang and various local places on Monday, the 21st anniversary of General Secretary Kim Jong Il's assumption of supreme commandership of the Korean People's Army and the 95th birth anniversary of anti-Japanese war hero Kim Jong Suk.

The venues of dancing parties were alive with youth and students who gathered with high pride of being members of the young Songun vanguard of Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il's Korea which demonstrated its tremendous national power of the great Paektusan nation through the successful launch of satellite Kwangmyongsong 3-2.

Dancing parties started at the plazas of the Party Founding Memorial Tower, April 25 House of Culture, Arch of Triumph and other places of Pyongyang amid the playing of song "Please Receive Our Salute".

The youth and students presented pleasant dances, extending the highest tribute and eternal glory to Generalissimo Kim Jong Il, who turned the DPRK into an invincible politico-ideological power with single-minded unity and a matchless military power.

They also presented dances reflecting the immense pride of glorifying their youth in the worthwhile drive for realizing the desire of Kim Jong Suk, woman commander of Mt. Paektu, to the tune of "The Tuman River Full of Memories," "Arirang on Jiansanfeng" and other songs reminiscent of her revolutionary career and feats.
