Kim Jong Un's Speech Encourages DPRK Scientists
Pyongyang, December 22 (KCNA) -- Respected Marshal Kim Jong Un made an inspiring speech at the banquet given on Friday in honor of the scientists, technicians, workers and officials who made contributions to the successful launch of Kwangmyongsong 3-2, the first working satellite of the DPRK.

In this regard KCNA met Jo Il Gwang, director of the Earth Environment Information Institute of the State Academy of Sciences.

He said:

"Marshal Kim Jong Un in his speech encouraged the scientists and technicians in the country to leap forward higher and faster on a swift horse of science and technology.

He said that the successful satellite launch was the greatest gift the DPRK people presented to Kim Jong Il and a shining review of the heroic struggle waged by them this year. He also expressed belief that as his closest comrades-in-arms, the space scientists and technicians would continue to play a pioneer role in the general charge for building a thriving nation.

His remarks show his deep trust in the scientists and technicians in the country.

I will redouble my efforts for signal scientific achievements to carry out his decision to turn the country into land of bliss. With his will as their motto, all scientists at the institute have turned in the effort to bring a fresh turn in researches."

Ri Pong Chol, a postgraduate of the Material Engineering Department of Kim Chaek University of Technology, said:

"Marshal Kim Jong Un's speech hardens my will to glorify the DPRK by means of intelligence.

I will devote my all to the development of the material engineering technology instrumental to manufacturing working satellites, including communications satellite, and thus contribute to turning my country into a space power looked up by the world."
