Figures of Different Countries Congratulate DPRK on Its Successful Satellite Launch
Pyongyang, December 21 (KCNA) -- Personages of Russia and Bangladesh issued statements on Dec. 14, congratulating the DPRK on its successful launch of satellite Kwangmyongsong 3-2.

Barannikova, chief editor of the newspaper "We Serve Motherland" in Vladivostok, said that through its successful launch of the satellite the DPRK exercised its legitimate right to space research for peaceful purposes and demonstrated the nation's modern technology for space development before the international community.

Expressing great admiration at the spectacular success made by scientists and technicians of the DPRK in their research and their high level of technology and the strong mental power of the Korean people, she continued:

The success made by the DPRK in the field of developing space proudly adorned 2012, the centenary of birth of Kim Il Sung, the eternal President of the DPRK.

The achievements made by the army and people of the DPRK constitute the highest tribute to their great leader Kim Jong Il.

I hope the great DPRK will dynamically advance along the road of independence and self-sustenance in the future, too, and bring joy to its friends with greater success while striking enemies with terror.

M. Jahangir Khan, chairman of the Bangladesh Group for the Study of the Songun Policy, said that the DPRK's recent launch of the satellite proved once again before the world that it is a country with tremendous potentials in the field of space science and technology, too.

Figures of Nepal, Democratic Congo, India and Peru in their statements, interviews and congratulatory letters congratulated the DPRK on its successful launch of the satellite and expressed support for the DPRK's activities for developing space for peaceful purposes. They included Narayan Man Bijukchhe, chairman of the Central Committee of the Nepal Worker-Peasant Party, Eduardo Mokolo, first vice-president of the Senate of the National Assembly of Democratic Congo, Ramber Mende, minister of Information, Parliamentary Affairs and Mass Education of Democratic Congo, Wipin Gupta, chairman of the Juche Philosophy Study Committee of India, and Juan Espinosa Gala, manager of the Newspaper Accion Nacionalista of Peru.
