DPRK Students Encouraged by Satellite Launch
Pyongyang, December 20 (KCNA) -- The successful launch of satellite Kwangmyongsong 3-2 in the Democratic People's Republic of Korea has hardened the university students' will to contribute to developing the nation's science.

Nam Sok Chol, a student at Kim Il Sung University, told KCNA:

"The successful launch of satellite Kwangmyongsong 3-2 by local technologies is just a shining victory of the Workers' Party of Korea's policy of attaching importance to science and technology, and it paved a way for us, students, to conquer the outer space.

I will study harder to be a space scientist."

Kang Myong Chan, a student at Kim Chaek University of Technology, said:

"It is known that not many countries launch satellites in winter season, because the cold weather affects the satellite launch.

The DPRK's successful satellite launch in winter showed how far its science and technology have gone.

This has confirmed again that the shortcut to building of a thriving nation lies in developing science and technology."

Ri Kum Song, a student at Pyongyang University of Computer Science, said:

"The recent launch gives a glimpse of the development of the DPRK's science and technology.

I will prepare myself to be a patriot like the space scientists who made signal contributions to beefing up the nation's strength."
