Korean Book, Photo and Handicraft Exhibitions Opened Abroad
Pyongyang, December 20 (KCNA) -- Events took place in different countries on the occasion of the first anniversary of demise of leader Kim Jong Il, the 21st anniversary of his assumption of the supreme commandership of the Korean People's Army, the first anniversary of the dear respected Kim Jong Un's assumption of the supreme commandership of the KPA and the 95th birth anniversary of anti-Japanese war hero Kim Jong Suk.

Korean book, photo and handicraft exhibitions opened in Shanghai of China, Obninsk of Russia, Vientiane of Laos and Conakry of Guinea between Dec. 11 and 16.

On display in the venues of the exhibitions were photos dealing with the revolutionary life of President Kim Il Sung, Kim Jong Il and Kim Jong Un and their exploits.

Displayed there were works of the peerlessly great men, books and photos showing the real picture of Songun Korea and handicrafts associated with the creative wisdom and talents of the Korean people.

Speeches were made at the opening ceremonies of the exhibitions.

An official in Shanghai said that Kim Jong Il visited Shanghai several times in his lifetime, performing great exploits for consolidating the traditional Sino-DPRK friendship generation after generation.

Speakers at the opening ceremony in Russia referred to the fact that Marshal Kim Jong Un who personified the idea, personality and virtues of Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il, is leading the Korean people to happiness and prosperity, convincing them of a rosy future of the DPRK.

The minister and a vice-minister of Information, Culture and Tourism of Laos said that the exhibition would mark an important occasion to know better about the exploits performed by the great leaders of the Korean people.

The director general of the Kim Il Sung Institute of Agricultural Science in Guinea sincerely hoped for good health of Kim Jong Un, supreme leader of the Korean people, who is translating the lifetime desires of Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il into realities.
