S. Korean Youth and Students Called for Turning Out for New Politics and Life
Pyongyang, December 18 (KCNA) -- The Youth and Students Sub-Committee of the North Side Committee for Implementing the June 15 Joint Declaration Monday released an appeal to the south Korean youth and students.

Five years of the Lee Myung Bak group and "the Saenuri Party's" office are a period of nightmare, despair and hellish life for the south Korean youth and students, the appeal said, and went on:

It is the passionate youth who take the lead in justice and do not compromise injustice.

The upcoming "presidential election" is a fierce standoff between the new and the old, between the future and the past and between the new politics but the outdated politics.

You should cast each vote in a responsible manner at the crossroads of whether you go back to the dark past or advance towards a bright future.

Your bright future, independence, democracy and reunification can be guaranteed only when the conservative regime is judged and replaced by a new regime.

Casting a vote for "the Saenuri Party" means a vote for fascist dictatorship, confrontation and war.

If one does not take part in the election, contending that political landscape is disgusting and a single vote is not enough to bring about a regime change, this will amount to increasing votes for conservatives and pouring water on the water mill for their stay in power.

You have lived for five years, facing disgrace and undergoing sufferings due to Lee Myung Bak's gimmicks. If you are taken in again by the honeyed words of the "Saenuri Party", you will not be able to escape bigger disasters.

The south Korean youth and students should effect regime change through the election at any cost and thus demonstrate their stamina, resourcefulness, courage and tradition before the whole world.

The appeal expressed belief that they would discharge their historic responsibility and duty by making a wise choice for new politics and life in response to the solemn call of the era.
