Foreign Newspapers Laud Kim Jong Il
Pyongyang, December 18 (KCNA) -- Newspapers in different countries gave special write-ups on the occasion of the first anniversary of demise of leader Kim Jong Il.

The Iranian newspaper Iran News on December 10 carried a portrait of smiling Kim Jong Il and photos of his revolutionary activities and devoted its one whole page to a special write-up titled "Generalissimo Kim Jong Il will always be alive as the sun."

It said that his life was one of a peerless patriot dedicated to the country and its people. His revolutionary idea, exploits and broad smile will always be remembered by not only the Korean people but the progressives of the world, it added.

The Indian newspaper Science Technology and Education News on December 9 carried his photo and an article which says he is the eternal general secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea.

It noted that the distinguished exploits he performed by leading the WPK for decades serve as an engine dynamically inspiring the Korean people's cause of socialism. He will be always alive along with the ever-victorious WPK, it added.

The Indonesian newspaper Suara Pombaruan on December 11 noted in an article titled "Way followed by the DPRK" that it is dynamically advancing along the road of independence, Songun and socialism explored by President Kim Il Sung and carried forward by Kim Jong Il.
