Kim Jong Il, Peerlessly Great Man (8)
Pyongyang, December 17 (KCNA) -- Leader Kim Jong Il's Songun (military-first) leadership was characterized by inspection tours of military units and field guidance to establishments throughout the country.

He had always found himself among servicepersons and working people to settle knotty problems arising in practice.

His journey of inspection and guidance gained momentum in the latter half of the first ten years of the 21st century.

He visited the Chollima Steel Complex to kindle the flame of a new economic upsurge throughout the country in December 2008 and the Seoul Ryu Kyong Su Guards 105th Tank Division of the Korean People's Army in the early January 2009. In less than 10 days later, he took himself to factories in Wonsan, Taean and Pyongyang, military units and the Ryongaksan Pleasure Park.

A day after he went to a co-op farm and the Hungnam Fertilizer Complex in the eastern coastal area of the country, he drove to the Rakwon Machine Complex in the western coastal area, several hundred kilometers away. His ceaseless guidance tours led him to Wonsan, the Kimchaek Iron and Steel Complex, Ranam, Musan, Hoeryong and Manpho near the bank of the River Amnok.

In December 2009, he toured factories in Jagang Province, the Pyongyang Cornstarch Factory and Kim Il Sung University and then Rason City, situated in the country's northern tip on the east coast.

His energetic guidance tours greatly encouraged the DPRK people in the effort to build a thriving nation.
