He said:

During the past one year we keenly felt that we had been led by so great outstanding leader, teacher and father.

The whole life of Generalissimo Kim Jong Il was the one of a great revolutionary who systematized the Juche idea founded by President Kim Il Sung as the guiding idea of the era, strengthened the party, the state and the army into the invincible ranks intensely loyal to the President and purely carried forward and developed the traditions of Mt. Paektu with immortal feats.

Chongryon boasting itself as the model of the world overseas compatriots movement would have been unthinkable apart from Kim Jong Il.

Since he began leading Chongryon, Kim Jong Il had paid deep concern to developing Chongryon, the patriotic legacy left by the President, till the last moments of his life.

The dear respected Kim Jong Un has taken deep care of Chongryon and Koreans in Japan as Kim Jong Il did.

Then, speeches were made.

Memorial services took place in the Chongryon Osaka, Hyogo, Kyoto, Aichi, Ibaraki, Hiroshima and Fukuoka Prefectural Headquarters and Hokkaido Headquarters and memorial meetings in other headquarters, branches and organizations on the same day.
