Anniversary of Kim Jong Il's Demise Marked by Foreign Papers
Pyongyang, December 14 (KCNA) -- Papers of various countries carried special write-ups on the occasion of the first anniversary of demise of leader Kim Jong Il.

The Nepali paper Janmabhumi on Dec. 1 featured an article contributed by a political commentator under the title "In memory of leader Kim Jong Il". It carried his photo.

The article said: Events for remembering him are being held in many countries in the run-up to the anniversary of his demise. It is an expression of the boundless reverence of humankind always remembering the great man who performed great exploits by dedicating all his life.

Saying he was a beacon of hope and a savior of the oppressed popular masses in the world, the article noted thanks to his Songun politics the DPRK could demonstrate its might as an independent state which the imperialists dare not provoke.

The Ethiopian paper Daily Monitor on Dec. 5 in an article titled "Leader Kim Jong Il is always alive" praised his ideo-theoretical feats and leadership exploits. It also carried a portrait of smiling Kim Jong Il.

The Indonesian paper Suara Karya on Dec. 5 carried an article titled "Undying contributions performed for the cause of global independence".

The article introduced energetic external activities of Kim Jong Il. The exploits he performed for the cause of global independence will be immortal together with progressive mankind, it stressed.
