Anniversary of Kim Jong Il's Demise Commemorated Abroad
Pyongyang, December 10 (KCNA) -- Diverse events were held in Russia, Switzerland, the Czech Republic and Iran from Nov. 28 to Dec. 3 with the approach of the 1st anniversary of the demise of general secretary Kim Jong Il.

They included seminar, remembrance meeting, photo exhibition and film show.

On display in the venues of the events were photos of Kim Jong Il showing his noble revolutionary career.

Films shown were "DPRK Declares in Bitter Tears" and other Korean films.

The chairman of the Switzerland-Korea Committee said the sudden and untimely demise of Kim Jong Il was a bolt from the blue and greatest loss to the Korean people and to the progressive humankind as well.

The president of the International Taekwon-Do Association in Iran noted Kim Jong Il developed the DPRK into a military power and powerfully encouraged the people of the progressive countries including Iran in their anti-imperialist, anti-U.S. struggle.

His distinguished feats performed for the cause of global independence and peace would always be remembered by humankind, the president stressed.

A message to the dear respected Kim Jong Un was adopted at the event held in Switzerland.
