Abolition of Fascist Law Demanded in S. Korea
Pyongyang, December 7 (KCNA) -- The People's Solidarity for the Repeal of the "Security Law" in south Korea called a press conference in Seoul on November 28 in demand of the repeal of the fascist law.

64 years have passed since the fabrication of the SL, a law against human rights, democracy and reunification, but it still remains in force in south Korea, the Solidarity said.

The number of those prosecuted by the invocation of the fascist law is on the steady increase under the present regime and majority of them are charged with violations of such provisions as "encouragement and praise" and "manufacture and distribution of enemy-benefiting literature" the cancellation of which was urged by the UN and the Human Rights Commission, the organization noted, adding:

Most of those subject to the application of this evil law are the enterprises and pro-reunification organizations which conducted legitimate exchange with the north during the former regimes. This land will not be free from uneasiness and fear as long as the SL remains in force.

It called on people of all social standings to stage joint actions and get the fascist law repealed without fail.
