Pyongyang Folklore Park (4)
Pyongyang, December 6 (KCNA) -- The contemporary times area in the Pyongyang Folklore Park gives a glimpse of buildings in the era of the Workers' Party of Korea.

The area is divided into sections of monuments and other structures.

On display there are 30 odd miniatures of monumental edifices built after the liberation of the country from Japan's colonial rule (in August 1945).

In the monuments section there are the Arch of Triumph and the Tower of the Juche Idea, which were built in April Juche 71 (1982) in praise of President Kim Il Sung's feats on the occasion of his 70th birthday. There stand also the Party Founding Memorial Tower, Victorious Fatherland Liberation War Memorial Tower and Three Charters for National Reunification Memorial Tower.

In the structures section there are the Korean Revolution Museum and the Grand Monument on Mansu Hill against the background of Mt. Paektu, Grand People's Study House, Pyongyang Grand Theatre, Ice Rink, Pyongyang Indoor Stadium, People's Palace of Culture and Okryu Restaurant.

The Chollima Statue, West Sea Barrage built in rough sea running eight kilometers in five years in the 1980's, May Day Stadium and other structures demonstrate the heroic stamina of socialist Korea.
