Anniversary of Kim Jong Il's Demise Commemorated in Democratic Congo, Romania
Pyongyang, December 6 (KCNA) -- A seminar on the exploits of leader Kim Jong Il and opening ceremonies of a Korean photo exhibition and a week of Korean film show took place in Democratic Congo on Nov. 27 and a film show in Romania on Nov. 29. They were held to commemorate the first anniversary of Kim Jong Il's demise.

On display at the photo exhibition were photos on revolutionary activities of Kim Jong Il and the dear respected Kim Jong Un and other photos showing the true picture of Songun Korea.

Participants of the film show watched Korean films including "Fireworks for a Thriving Nation."

Otete Gaston Mboyo, chairman of the Democratic Congo committee for remembering Kim Jong Il, said human history does not know such great man as Kim Jong Il of the DPRK who had distinguished political caliber.

Born in Mt. Paektu, Kim Jong Il was praised by anti-Japanese revolutionary fighters as a bright star of Mt. Paektu for his outstanding inborn disposition in his early years, he said, and went on:

Kim Jong Il developed the guiding idea of mankind, formed a harmonious whole of the leader, party and masses and firmly defended socialist Korea, beacon of hope for all people of the world.

His idea and exploits are being successfully carried forward by another outstanding man Marshal Kim Jong Un.

Rohekele Andre, chairman of the National Committee for the Study of the Juche Idea of Democratic Congo, and the secretary general said that under the wise leadership of Kim Jong Il the Korean people could firmly protected the sovereignty of the country and hastened the building of a thriving nation.

He is always remembered by all Korean people and other progressives, they added.
