Kim Jong Il Praised by Bangladeshi Personages
Pyongyang, December 2 (KCNA) -- Remembrance meetings, seminars, film shows and photo exhibitions were held by the Bangladesh People's League and the Bangladesh Group for the Study of the Songun Policy on November 21 and 22 on the occasion of the first anniversary of leader Kim Jong Il's demise.

Displayed at the photo exhibitions were photos showing the sacred revolutionary career of Kim Jong Il.

Korean films shown included "Fireworks for a Thriving Nation" and "Pyongyang at Night".

Garib Newaz, president of the Bangladesh People's League, at a seminar introduced the brief history of Kim Jong Il's revolutionary activities, saying:

Kim Jong Il conducted energetic ideological and theoretical activities, developing the Juche idea in depth and glorifying it as a guiding idea in the era of independence and thus made undying contribution to the human cause of independence.

He was an outstanding strategist and an invincible and iron-willed commander who resolutely frustrated the aggression moves of the imperialists, holding high the banner of Songun.

The feats he performed for the victorious advance of the socialist cause, world peace and security will shine long.

Though he passed away, prosperity and happiness of the Korean people are firmly guaranteed for all ages thanks to the dear respected Kim Jong Un.

M. Jahangir Khan, chairman of the Bangladesh Group for the Study of the Songun Policy, and other speakers stressed Kim Jong Il will always be alive in the hearts of humankind. They praised him as a prominent leader who built up the most powerful independent fortress in Korea and made signal contribution to the cause of global independence.
