Jindalle Children's Foundation Established
Pyongyang, December 1 (KCNA) -- The Jindalle Children's Foundation was established in Pyongyang Thursday, with a Palestinian Jindallae Saphariny as its president and Kim Jong Suk, chairwoman of the Korean Committee for Cultural Relations with Foreign Countries, as chairperson of its Council.

The Foundation will engage in humanitarian services in various fields including birth, nursing, medical care and education of Korean children while having its head office in Pyongyang and branch office in China.

It will also expand its work around the world, according to the president of the Foundation whose name is called in Korean and Palestinian way.

The organization will work first for children in the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, all the health services that it can help and provide, President Jindalle Saphariny told KCNA on Friday.

Saphariny was born at the Pyongyang Maternity Hospital.

Her parents did not have any kid for many years. They went around different countries including France, UK and Laos but her mother failed to conceive a child. After coming to the DPRK, she went to the Pyongyang Maternity Hospital and got pregnant in three months and Saphariny was born at last.

Very happy with the birth of their daughter, her parents sent a letter of heartfelt thanks to leader Kim Jong Il, asking him to name their baby. He named the baby Jindalle in Korean (azalea) and presented gifts to her.

Jindalle Saphariny said:

"I was given the name by General Kim Jong Il and I felt very loved here in Pyongyang when I came back after 20 years.

I felt like I wanted to show my gratitude. So I decided to do something good when I went back to China. So, I tried thinking a lot with the help of my father and so many other Chinese people and decided we could do something for charity.

So what does this charity? It is non-profitable fund where we can help all the children and health services in the DPRK. What made me really want to do this was that the DPRK is my second homeland. That's the meaning of this fund.

We call it Jindallae because I have strong relation with Korea and because many people say that I am the daughter of Korea. I love children. So I wanted to do something good for the country."
