Korean Fine Arts Praised by Russians
Pyongyang, December 1 (KCNA) -- The Korean fine arts exhibition "Under the spring sunshine" took place at the venue of the Central Fine Arts Exhibition in the City of Moscow from November 8 to 25.

On display there were photos of President Kim Il Sung and leader Kim Jong Il.

Also on show were photos dealing with the building of a thriving socialist nation of Songun Korea and fine art pieces indicative of the Korean people's excellent talents and creative wisdom such as Korean paintings, jewel-powdered paintings, oil paintings and handicraft.

Present at the opening ceremony of the exhibition were figures of political and social circles in Russia and citizens in Moscow.

Present there on invitation were the DPRK ambassador to Russia and staff members of his embassy.

Speeches were made there.

A deputy to the State Duma who is a member of the Russia-DPRK Friendship Parliamentary Group of the State Duma hoped that the DPRK would become a country overflowing with love and happiness under the warm sunshine.

Matsegora, a vice department director of the Russian Foreign Ministry, said that the exhibition would help further deepen the understanding between the Russian and Korean peoples and give pleasure to the Russian people as it is an important occasion of the cultural exchanges between the two countries.

Tatyana, a fine arts expert, noted that the fine arts of the DPRK brought warm and joyous feelings as in spring to Moscow. The Russian people admire the freshness of the Korean art and its high level and want to see the exhibition being held often in Russia, she added.

A former deputy to the State Duma stated that the excellent teacher is behind the creators of splendid art. I pay tribute to the leaders of the DPRK who provided guidance for the creation of such noble art, he added.
