National Exhibition of Liquor, Condiments Held in Pyongyang
Pyongyang, November 30 (KCNA) -- A national exhibition of liquor and condiments took place at the Pyongyang Yokjon Department Store on Nov. 27-30.

The exhibition brought together hundreds of liquor and condiment makers.

Kim Kyong Ho, an official of the Ministry of Foodstuff and Daily Necessities Industry, told KCNA:

"The exhibition aims to generalize the successes and experience gained in making liquor and condiments. It was held in a way that examiners evaluate the exhibits' quality, packaging and trademarks.

Conspicuous were pavilions of the Samilpho Specialties Factory, Taedonggang Foodstuff Factory, Sinuiju Condiment Factory and the Sakju Foodstuff Factory. The pavilions exhibited competitive goods which won appreciation of leader Kim Jong Il and the dear respected Kim Jong Un."

Pang Un Ae, an official of the Samilpho Specialties Factory, said:

"Varieties of liquor, produced by the factory, are popular among local people.

Especially, Hana-trademarked liquor, which took the top prize at the 6th National Liquor Fair, is well received by overseas compatriots as well as foreigners."

Meanwhile, the exhibition included lectures themed "Traditional Features of Korea's Liquor" and "Soy-making in Korea and Other Countries".
