Nanotechnology-based Air Purifier Developed in DPRK
Pyongyang, November 28 (KCNA) -- The Integrated Circuit Institute of the DPRK State Academy of Sciences has developed a small air purifier based on oxidizability by nano combined photocatalyst.

This photocatalyst makes it possible to keep indoor air sterilized by natural energy and renews itself automatically during its activity.

The purifier, with a function of generating anion, is very effective in trapping various harmful substances and dust and is highly germicidal.

Yun Sang Chol, chief of the Environment Research Room of the Institute, told KCNA:

"The newly-developed purifier helps decompose and eliminate benzene, ammonia, hydrogen sulfide, sulfurous acid gas, carbon dioxide and other air pollutants.

In particular it can decontaminate pollutants of high concentration without using some reagents.

This device, which costs low and consumes less electricity, is now paying off at hospitals, worksites, harmful gas-generating sites, houses, office rooms and others."
