DPRK's Films Introduced in Finland
Pyongyang, November 26 (KCNA) -- "Days of Korean films" opened with due ceremony in Helsinki between November 16 and 18.

Present at its opening ceremony were officials of the Helsinki City Office and the Finland-Korea Society and those in the field of film arts and masses.

Antti Sika Aho, chairman of the Society, made an opening speech.

He said the Finnish people would see for themselves the development of film arts in the DPRK with the "Days of Korean films" as an opportunity.

He added:

The Finnish people hope to know better about the DPRK and its people through Korean films.

The film arts of the DPRK has made signal progress thanks to leader Kim Jong Il who put forth the policy on literature and art based on the Juche idea and showed deep concerns for the development of film arts.

The Korean films vividly reflect not only the developed level of arts in the DPRK but also the reality.

They have become a part of arts, receiving great affection from the people.

I am sure that this ceremony would contribute to further developing the friendly relations between the peoples of the two countries.

Korean films including "A Schoolgirl's Diary", "Hong Kil Dong" and "A Broad Bellflower" were on show in the period.
