KCNA Commentary Blasts Japan's Drone Development Plan
Pyongyang, November 19 (KCNA) -- Japan heading toward militarization is about to commit another crime. Recently Japan announced a drone development plan allegedly to "cope with the north's ballistic missile threat."

It does not hide that the plan is aimed at the DPRK including correct acquisition of the "north's missile trend".

This is an open revelation of the Japanese reactionaries' hostile policy toward the DPRK, another dangerous military provocation.

Gravity lies in that Japan moves to make active military operations by new war means, drones, a state policy at a time when the danger of military conflict is mounting in the Korean Peninsula and the region due to Japan's ambition for territorial expansion.

The imperialists have resorted to the criminal drone policy with an aim to intensify military blackmail and intervention while minimizing military expenditure and the use of labor force in the face of economic depression.

Espionage by the use of drones and "surgical operation attack" under the pretext of "war on terrorism" have touched off worldwide protest and denunciation as they accompanied intrusion into the territorial air and land of sovereign states and massacre of civilians.

Japan is now languishing in the worst economic meltdown with its state debt standing at 983 295 billion yen. Clear is its aim in buckling down to developing drones despite the international criticism and huge financial burden.

For decades after its defeat in the war, Japan has spurred turning the country into a military giant as evidenced by institutional, legal and material preparations for reinvasion. It now moves to the phase of implementing military operation.

This is primarily targeted against the DPRK. Japan seeks to escalate espionage into the inviolable territorial air, waters and land of the DPRK and military provocation against it and thus provoke a new war on the Korean Peninsula and trigger off an all-out regional war.

Japan's moves for militarization have now reached a reckless phase in which it is ready to openly announce its overseas aggression policy and put it into practice.

The Japanese reactionaries should ponder over the catastrophic consequences to be entailed by their foolish attempt to realize the old dream of the "Greater East Asia Co-prosperity Sphere."

They had better draw a lesson from the miserable end met by spy planes and armed spy ships of hostile forces which intruded into the territorial air and waters of the DPRK in the past.

Japan's reckless militarist moves for reinvasion will touch off bitterer censure and rejection from the Koreans and the international community.
