Performance of Wangjaesan Art Troupe Goes On in Pyongyang
Pyongyang, November 17 (KCNA) -- A music and dance performance by the Wangjaesan Art Troupe is going on here with Mother's Day as an occasion.

The People's Palace of Culture, the venue of performance, is daily crowded with mothers, accompanied by their husbands and children.

On display at the center of the stage are letters reading "Mother's Day" and on both sides are beautiful flowers.

The performance begins with song and dance "Song in Praise of Women in Songun Era", and its numbers include popular song "Happiness of Mother", traditional dances "Song of Love" and "At the Seaside" and tap dances. "Song of Love" represents the love story between Chun Hyang and Mong Ryong in the classical novel "Tale of Chun Hyang" and "At the Seaside" shows women catching shellfish.

After enjoying the performance Ri Wol Son, 52, a Pyongyang citizen, told KCNA:

"The performance is very fine, and I like traditional dances. I danced together with performers on the stage."

Another citizen Min Hye Song, 20, said:

"All my family members saw the performance with mother. I was very glad to hear the songs that I wanted to sing for my mother.

I would like to express thanks to the performers and all other members of the art troupe."
