Rodong Sinmun Accuses S. Korean Authorities of "North Wind" Campaign
Pyongyang, November 17 (KCNA) -- The "north wind" campaign kicked up by the south Korean authorities are a blatant challenge to the desire of all Koreans aspiring after national reunification.

Rodong Sinmun Saturday says this in a bylined article.

The south Korean conservative forces are now kicking up an anti-north campaign with "the presidential election" at hand, the article notes, and goes on:

They are busy with a noisy "north wind" campaign in a bid to fan up bitterness toward the DPRK among south Koreans and paint themselves as "forces protecting security" and thus garner more votes in the election.

The ultimate purpose of the "north wind" campaign is to help the conservative regime stay in power. If this happens, it will throw another stumbling block in the way of implementing the inter-Korean declarations.

Over the past five years all Koreans in the north and the south painfully experienced the high hurdle the south Korean conservative forces have laid in the way of national reunification through their confrontation moves. It is clear to all that the "Saenuri Party's" stay in power would mean the extension of the regime for confrontation against reunification.

The "north wind" campaign is a criminal act of blocking national reconciliation and unity by stoking the atmosphere of confrontation with fellow countrymen throughout society and a reckless action to push the inter-Korean standoff to an explosive point and thus increase the danger of war against the north.
