Pyongyang, November 16 (KCNA) -- Mother's Day (November 16) is celebrated in the Democratic People's Republic of Korea.

Put up in streets and villages across the country are posters in celebration of the holiday.

Many people visit flower shops and stalls to buy bouquets for their mothers.

Photo studios are also busy with service for families and couples.

Greeting cards and commemorative stamps are nowadays best seller at post offices and bookshops.

The Central TV of DPRK broadcasts programs for mothers intensively.

Meanwhile, screened at cinemas in the capital city of Pyongyang are feature films dealing with women's feats for the country and people, among them "Happiness of Mother" and "Wheel of Happiness".

Art theatres and schoolchildren's palaces present congratulatory performances exclusively for the delegates to the 4th National Meeting of Mothers and women in the city. They include a dance performance at the Pyongyang Grand Theatre, a concert by the National Symphony Orchestra at the Moranbong Theatre, circus drama "Tale of Chun Hyang" at the Pyongyang Circus Theater and the light comedy "Love" at the East Pyongyang Grand Theatre.
