Prolific Mothers Awarded Title of Labor Hero
Pyongyang, November 15 (KCNA) -- The title of DPRK Labor Hero was awarded Tuesday to seven women who gave birth to many children.

Among them is Ri Pyong Hui living in Wonsan City, Kangwon Province. Until 1997, she had only four children. But, deeply moved by the fact that leader Kim Jong Il praised a couple of military officers for having made their two daughters join the army, she gave birth to five more children. Her last tenth child was born at the Pyongyang Maternity Hospital in October 2011. Some of her children are now serving in the army.

Pak Ok Dan, working at a unit under a national institution, has four sons and six daughters. She had eight children when she was attending the 3rd National Meeting of Mothers. With a desire to repay the benefits she was enjoying from the country, she gave birth to two more children later.

Pak Kum Ok residing in Chonma County, North Phyongan Province, is a mother of six sons and three daughters. As a mother of nine children, she takes the lead in assisting the Korean People's Army.

Besides, there are Ri Kum Sun in Yangdok County, South Phyongan Province, Song Kum Suk in Phyonggang County, Kangwon Province, and Mun Jong Sun and Ri Un Ok in Songwon and Junggang counties, Jagang Province.

All of them are mothers of nine or ten children.
