Astonishing Number of Irregularities of S. Korean Public Service Personnel
Pyongyang, November 13 (KCNA) -- Irregularities and corruption by public officials of the Lee Myung Bak regime are rife in south Korean society, stunning the people, south Korean radios reported recently.

Two public officials in Seoul collected 6.8 million won from an affiliated organ under the pretext of official business trip overseas in 2010.

In Chungchong area a public servant seized a million won from a business enterprise and received 1.5 million won from a subordinate for promoting him.

Others who had indulged in sex and estate speculation were exposed.

The corruption cases by public officials in South Jolla Province were countless.

54 public servants in Raju City embezzled more than 77 million won of official fund by fabricating official documents for over 3 years from 2007 and used it for spree and bribery.

An accountant in Ryosu City was disclosed to have used 7.6 billion won of city budget for three years by skillfully interpolating documents.

Last year he wrote a covenant making an oath to live cleanhanded, but he bought apartment houses and delux cars with the money.

A public official of the Wando County Office swindled 500 million won and a female staff of Hannam County 1.1 billion, stunning the hearers.

The number of irregularities and corruption cases committed for 4 years such as snatching cash and other possessions by public servants by deceiving investors was as many as more than 11 000 cases and whole south Korean society appears to be a large-scale corruption exhibition today.

These undoubtedly were furthered with the Lee group's positive connivance.

Lee was reported about those cases by public officials several times, but he never took any measures, instead, granted special pardon to punished persons for irregularities and corruption in 2010.

Needless to mention, Lee himself is called a kingpin of irregularities and corruption as he committed heinous crimes such as the Naegok-dong housing lot purchase case.

All facts clearly show that such phenomena would never disappear in south Korea as long as conservatives like Lee Myung Bak take hold of the power.
