Pyongyang City Boasts of New Look
Pyongyang, November 12 (KCNA) -- Roller skating has become one of enjoyable sports amusements for young people in the city of Pyongyang.

Only in a day, thousands of students and children come to the Skate Park on the bank of the River Taedong, which began operation some days ago.

A student of Pyongyang University of Mechanical Engineering, Yang Hyon Gil, told KCNA:

"I feel refreshed to play roller skating in this splendid park. It seems my skating skills develop rapidly here."

A number of skate parks have made their appearance in various parts of the city.

The parks witness adults taking their children's hands in learning how to skate.

KCNA met Choe Jin A, a student at Pyongyang Inhung Secondary School, in the Sanghung Children's Park.

She said:

"It is very interesting to do roller skating. All my classmates now can do it.

Previously, I had to go to the plaza of the Pyongyang Indoor Stadium by bus to do skating. But now, I can play it in this park near my house."

Also seen at the skate parks are old persons, who come to them everyday to enjoy themselves seeing the skating.

When touring the Skate Park on the bank of the River Taedong before its operation, respected Marshal Kim Jong Un said he saw many children doing roller skating in the city, stressing it has become a tendency for young people and it is a good thing.
