Guyana Is Invariable in Its Stand to Develop Friendly Relations with DPRK: Guyanese President
Pyongyang, November 6 (KCNA) -- It is the steadfast stand of the government of Guyana to continue to develop the friendly relations with the DPRK as a member state of the Non-aligned Movement, said Guyanese President Donald Ramotar when receiving credentials from DPRK Ambassador to Guyana Jon Yong Jin on Oct. 29.

The president sincerely congratulated the Korean people on all their successes in the efforts to develop society under the leadership of the dear respected Kim Jong Un.

The president said Guyana and the DPRK have so far maintained good friendly relations since the establishment of diplomatic ties in the 1970's.

The government and people of Guyana have always remembered the sincere assistance President Kim Il Sung rendered to the country and are grateful for it, the president added.

He hoped that the bilateral exchange and cooperation would grow stronger in economic, cultural and other fields on the basis of the good political relations between the two countries.
